Next Support Group meeting

November 21st, 2026
Time:
10:30 a.m.
Topic: Weathering Wellness: Letting Go & Welcoming the Fall Season
Location:
Zoom

Register in advance here

Some of our members have shared that they’d like support with their mindset when living with a chronic health condition.

In this informal 90 minute session, our guest speaker, Shantelle Rank, will offer a supportive, safe learning space in a peer-supported environment. It’s a chance to pause and reflect on the change of season, explore simple ways to let go and embrace change, and welcome the season ahead, followed by a mindfulness meditation.

There will be time for questions, and Shantelle will also share other mental health contacts in Manitoba for members who would like them.

Stay for as long as your schedule allows. Grab a beverage and a snack, and plan to join us!

Remember—You are not alone!

While we focus on the emotional impact on scleroderma patients, it’s important to remember that our partners, families and friends are also affected.

Patients, caregivers, family members, friends, and supporters are ALL WELCOME and encouraged to attend this virtual meeting, share your perspective and learn from others.

Whether facing a new diagnosis, or dealing with the ongoing challenges of scleroderma, learning from each other will help us better cope, increase our resilience and make us a stronger community.

About the Support Group

A diagnosis of scleroderma is scary. That’s why it’s so very important to learn as much as you can and connect with others who understand what you are going through.

Scleroderma Manitoba hosts support groups and educational events for scleroderma patients and their families and supporters.

Whether newly diagnosed, or have been living with scleroderma for some time, it is extremely helpful to get to know others who are living with the disease, ask questions, share concerns, ideas, learn some tips, and support each other.

If there is a topic you are interested in, please contact Debbie via email at drobit@hotmail.ca or by phone or text at 204 396-2336.

How to attend a meeting

We have been meeting on Zoom since the beginning of Covid, but we had our first in-person meeting in April 2024.

We hope to have in-person meetings in the warmer months, when it is easier for people to travel.

Other meetings will be on Zoom, where you can join by computer or over the phone using the link or number sent to you when you register.

For more information, please email sclerodermamb@gmail.com, or call 204 510-2855.
