We welcome Registered Dietician, Stephanie Hnatiuk, who will present on Nutrition in Autoimmune Diseases: Cutting Through the Confusion, exploring the role of nutrition in the management of autoimmune disease with a focus on practical, evidence-based strategies that support overall health and reduce inflammation.

Participants will learn:

What inflammation is and how it relates to autoimmune conditions

What current research says (and does not say) about “anti-inflammatory diets”

The pros and cons of common elimination approaches such as AIP, gluten-free, and dairy-free diets

Key nutrients that support immune health and overall well-being

Practical strategies to manage common challenges such as fatigue, digestive symptoms, and maintaining adequate nutrition

How to reduce overwhelm and navigate conflicting nutrition information online

Stephanie’s presentation will emphasize realistic, sustainable nutrition strategies and help attendees feel more confident in their food choices without unnecessary restriction. A Q&A period will be included to address participant questions.

Remember—You are not alone!

While we focus on the emotional impact on scleroderma patients, it’s important to remember that our partners, families and friends are also affected.

Patients, caregivers, family members, friends, and supporters are ALL WELCOME and encouraged to attend this virtual meeting, share your perspective and learn from others.

Whether facing a new diagnosis, or dealing with the ongoing challenges of scleroderma, learning from each other will help us better cope, increase our resilience and make us a stronger community.
